I have never done this before but I put a picture of two bucks that my brother and I got the last day of our 6 day hunt with Boulder Ridge Outfitter's. My brother's buck was a basic 8 point that I had taken pictures of two days earlier. My buck was a 11pointer with a 20 and 5/8 inside spread. I saw 18 bucks and 6 doe on the 6 day hunt. I also went back the next year and got a good buck. He was a good buck also and if I can figure it out I will post the picture of it also. The reason I did not shoot the buck my brother got was it was an 8 pointer and I had never taken anything bigger than an 8 pointer. I let him walk and about cried. He weighed in at 304 lb's. My buck weighed in at 272 lb. Great hunting is Saskchewan. I will say this, I prayed to the Lord, if He would, let me get a good buck. I looked up and there he was following a doe down the logging road! You better believe I prayed another prayer in thanksgiving! God is great. Alfred Cornett, alfred.cornett@ncfbins.com The men in the picture, left to right is Herman(Tiny)S. Cornett,my brother, Ryan Bayne, guide, Bruce Bayne, guide and Lonnie Speight, my friend who has hunted with us since we was in high school. He got the largest buck the first day a 321 lb, 10 pointer.

Pick-up Truck Load of Bucks!
Man! Alfred, that is a pick-up truck load of Bucks! Huge racks! Please give us more of the details of the hunts since you have been traveling to Saskatchewan. Were you hunting out of stands, stalking, and what kind of rifle and ammo did you use?

It took 45 minutes of riding the Polaris Ranger to get to my stand which was a double ladder stand. We all hunted from this type stand. I bought a new Savage 116 in the 300WSM and used 180 grain bullets since Saskatchewan bucks are so heavy bodied. Usually you hunt all day of which I did for 6 days straight both times I have been there. I have many rifles but this one I specifically bought to take to Canada hunting as it was stainless instead of blued. We left the rifles in the our vehicle every night due to we did not want to take it in to a warm environment and bring it out again the next morning to a very cold tempature causing it to sweat and freeze up. By the way the rifle shoots .75 inch at 100 yds. Both years I went I got both my big bucks on the last day of the 6 day hunt. I love Canada and hope to go back soon. Alfred
